Meet Laurie

Welcome, friends! This is my new site, and I'm pretty fired up. It reflects a new chapter in my life, one where I get to share a part of me I've been opening up to for some time, and where I get to hopefully connect with you on the topic of love and nature. Really, they're one and the same.

A little about me: I'm a longtime psychotherapist (30+ years!), who has spent much of that time serving marginalized communities in public settings, including schools, child welfare, and clinics. Through the years I've worked with youth, adults, couples, and families, though the last few years I've been working online with adults and couples.

In addition to my work in psychotherapy, I have a strong focus on spirituality. I serve as an interfaith spiritual companion, and also incorporate Reiki and shamanic tools for clients interested in energy work and earth-based practices. 

 

This past fall, I started a doctoral program in Transpersonal Psychology, with a sub-concentration in Ecopsychology.  It has turned out to be not only a discovery of tribe, but an invitation to join my psychotherapy practice with a focus on the deep healing that can come from connecting with the natural world around us.

Currently, I'm available to work remotely or in outdoor settings in North County, San Diego. We can walk and talk, sit on the beach or in the park, or even work in the garden.  I hope you'll join me! <3
