Meet Laurie

Welcome, friends! This is my new site, and I am pretty fired up. It reflects a new chapter in my life, one where I share a part of me I have been opening up to for some time and hopefully connect with you on the topic of love and nature. Really, they are one and the same.

 

A little about me: I am a longtime psychotherapist who has spent most of my career serving marginalized communities in public settings-schools, child welfare, and clinics. During that time I have worked with youth, adults, couples, and families, though in the last few years I have been working mostly online with adults and couples. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have a strong spiritual orientation. I work as a spiritual companion and also incorporate Reiki and shamanic tools for clients interested in energy work and earth-based practices.

 

This past fall, I started a doctoral program in Transpersonal Psychology, with a sub-concentration in Ecopsychology. It has become a discovery of tribe, but also an invitation to join my psychotherapy practice with a focus on the deep healing that can come from connecting with the natural world around us.

 

Currently, I am available to work remotely or in outdoor settings in North County, San Diego. We can walk and talk, sit on the beach or in the park, or even work in the garden. I would love to work with you!
